We currently have an immediate full-time position opening for an Entry Level Technical Writer located in City of Industry, California.


    Job Summary:

    The Entry Level Technical Writer is responsible for working alongside Engineering, Quality, and Customer Support to organize and author documentation to be used for end user training. This includes writing, editing, and formatting, the library of technical documents, including testing procedures, reports, manuals, etc. The writer should possess strong analytical, communication and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines.



    • Support the Engineering department with the review, and updating of documents including Technical Manuals, Work Instructions, Assembly Instructions and Technical Bulletins
    • Obtain the essential information about the type of document you’re being asked to write, e.g. operator manuals, work instruction, deployment one-sheet, technical bulletins, etc.
    • Plan schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates
    • Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems
    • Work with SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) to review and make final updates to documents
    • Enhance procedures and manuals on inspection, testing, and evaluation


    • Investigate customer problems referred by technical support and create Technical Bulletin to support the fixes or changes required
    • Engage with Service Technicians and Engineering to review and make final updates to documents


    Sales and Marketing

    • Collaborate with Marketing and Sales departments on product changes to ensure product brochures, technical specifications, bids and tenders are accurate.
    • Develop marketing articles, letters, profiles, etc as requested.


    • Create / Update machine labels using Microsoft Visio and submit for release.
    • Create label placement work instructions to show production where each label will be placed


    • Bachelor’s Degree in English, Journalism, Engineering, or related field from an accredited four year university
    • 1 to 2 years related experience preferred (not required); or
    • Equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint preferred (not required)
