Astrophysics is an expanding, dynamic and fast-paced company looking for individuals who want to grow with us and be a part of a meaningful security mission.  We currently have an immediate full-time position opening for a Internal Sales Coordinator located in City of Industry, California.

     

    Job Summary:

    Maintain communication with Astrophysics agents in assigned territories, search for new sales opportunities, respond to tenders and prepare monthly and quarterly forecasts of sales in assigned territories. Process quotations to customers and issue internal sales orders. Maintain customer files. Assist in collections from customers and agents in assigned territories.

    Responsibilities

    • Maintain relationship with Astrophysics agents in assigned territories
      • Conduct weekly communication with agents to track status of pending orders and tenders
      • Assist in collection of balances from past due accounts
      • Conduct quarterly agent/customer satisfaction surveys with regional Astrophysics agents and customer
    • Sales forecasting
      • Request and compile 30-day and 3-month forecasts from agents
      • Prepare 30-day and 3 months forecasts with probabilities
      • Update forecasts on a weekly basis
    • Generating new sales opportunities
      • Conduct internet searches for new sales opportunities in assigned territories
      • Respond to tenders for sales in assigned territories
    • Order processing
      • Prepare, submit for approval, and send approved quotations to customers
      • Ensure that quotations for custom products follow due process
      • Review customer PO upon receipt and compare with quotation
      • Prepare, submit for approval, and send approved order confirmations to customers
      • Enter customer PO into MRP system and generate an Astrophysics sales order
      • Submit copies of sales orders to accounting, production, material handling, service and logistics
      • Weekly meetings with production, logistics and technical support departments to track status of open orders
      • Weekly meetings with accounts receivable to track the credit status of each customer
      • Assist accounts receivable in collections from agents in assigned territories that have past due accounts

     

    Qualifications

    • B.S. or Associate's degree (A. A.)
    • Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software and Internet software.
