We are an expanding, dynamic and fast-paced company looking for individuals who want to grow with us. We currently have an immediate full-time position opening for a Copywriter located in City of Industry, California.


Job Summary:

The Copywriter provides approximately 50% marketing, and 50% sales proposal support. The ideal candidate will possess excellent attention to detail, communicate effectively, and exhibit expert writing skills. Primary tasks include updating marketing content, developing copy for brand and product promotion, writing copy for sales proposals, and assisting with other marketing tasks as needed.



  • Author compelling marketing copy for various channels/materials, including, but not limited to: the company website, extranet, blog posts, social posts, advertisements, white papers, case studies, newsletters, video scripts, brochures, emails, and press releases. Copy must adhere to Astrophysics’ brand voice and editorial standards.
  • Draft copy for internal company communications, including, but not limited to: email blasts, new employee announcements, and presentations.
  • Edit and proofread additional copy and materials for accurate presentation of our company, product and service information as well as for grammar, spelling, punctuation etc.
  • Collaborate with marketing team on graphic design and visual/multimedia needs to incorporate with the copy.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, conferences and industry events as required.

Sales Proposals

  • Author technical, compliant, compelling, and competitive proposals and responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs).
  • Collaborate with Marketing Manager, Sales Manager and capture team to develop winning proposal strategies, collect necessary information and data, organize proposal layout and structure, align and write copy to customer needs.
  • Contribute to pre-proposal activities, including intelligence gathering, identifying capture team, performing a competitive analysis, conducting client research, and attending capture team meetings.
  • Breakdown the proposal requirements, organize proposal structure, and develop outlines, compliance matrixes, and proposal schedule.
  • Ensure compliance with solicitation requirements and criteria for evaluation.
  • Develop and maintain proposal content library and related documentation to include past performances, contract profiles, and other content to support future proposal efforts.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • Expert English language skills required. Ability to write technical, creative and persuasive copy with proper tone, sentence structure, and grammar. Familiarity with commonly used style guides.
  • Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and adjust as necessary to meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Self-motivated with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience with web markup language and search engine optimization a plus.
  • 1-2 years of previous copywriter/marketing experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
